    Dear Parents and the South Gate Community, 

    I would like to welcome you to Stanford Avenue Elementary School. The entire Stanford staff is committed to educating the whole child, striving to help each of our students reach their potential and chase their dreams. At Stanford you will find high expectations for student achievement in an environment that is also designed to meet the social-emotional needs of our students. Our students are involved in a wide range of activities including daily access to technology, hands on science activities in our Reading Garden, Marathon Kids exercise activities, and opportunities for instrumental music and the arts. We look forward to meeting you.

    Stanford avenue presents: Go southeast

    Stanford Avenue Elementary is officially part of the GO Southeast campaign. G.O. (Great Outcomes) is committed to supporting "A Pathway to College and Career Success" via the partnerships between LAUSD, Board Districts 2 and 5, Local Districts East and Central, East Los Angeles College (ELAC), and California State University Los Angeles (Cal State LA). Representatives shared their commitment to the promise of having a seat in college waiting for all Southeast students.

    Say No to Drugs Assembly

    South Gate Police Department visited Stanford Avenue Elementary to engage youth in dialogues about the importance of making positive life choices and avoiding the use of drugs and alcohol. Officers led a pledge that encourages our students to live drug free.

    Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest 2018

    Students chose their favorite book character and depicted the character utilizing a real pumpkin.

    Stanford Students Return and Give Back!

    Current International High School senior, and former Stanford student, Fernanda Hernandez chose to help students in need at Stanford for her Senior Capstone Project. Fernanda fund raised, purchased food, and distributed it to others in her community. Way to go Fernanda! We are all so proud of you!
